Club membership is available in a few separate categories.
You can purchase a slot on one of the training courses for the year or join as an affiliate member.
If you don’t have BSAC membership already, you’ll need to buy that too.
Learning to dive with us is by far the cheapest way to get into the hobby!
Ocean DIver
The Ocean Diver Course is for entry level divers who’ve not done a qualification before. We’ll teach you how to use basic Scuba Diving gear, how to control your buoyancy underwater and the importance of planning your dives.
This course will qualify you to dive up to 20m depth and use breathing gas mixtures up to 36% Nitrox.

SPORTS DIver
The Sports Diver course is the next step up from the Ocean Diver course. It teaches you to use specialist equipment underwater and progresses your basic diving skills. Additionally, you’ll learn rescue skills such as recovery of an unresponsive diver and basic life support (CPR).
This course will qualify you to 35m depth once you complete your depth progression. It also makes you eligible to join the Instructor Foundation Course and begin your journey as a Scuba instructor

Dive Leader
The Dive Leader course follows on from the Sports Diver course by teaching you how to manage groups of divers and develops your rescue management skills.
This course qualifies you to 50m depth after depth progression. It also makes you eligible to undertake the Open Water Instructors Course.

Crossover course
The crossover courses allow you to transfer from most agencies to BSAC without having to start all over again. This typically takes the form of a short introduction to BSAC training followed by your relevant training course.

Affiliate
If you’re not interested in doing a training course and just want to go on club trips the affiliate membership is for you. You’ll get access to our kit hiring system and be eligible for going on club trips.
Both current students and alumni can purchase this membership.

*Membership does not include entry fees to inland dive sites. Trainees will be required to pay their own entry fee in addition to a share of instructor entry fees.
*Training course membership is only valid for the academic year that it’s purchased in. If completion of the course during that academic year is not possible we cannot guarantee we’ll be able to finish your training without purchasing a further years worth of membership.
